nChannel takes security of our customers’ data very seriously. We have used the best technological tools and engineering practices available to build our platform. Data is backed-up, stored securely, and password protected.
Other nChannel subscribers cannot see your account or your data unless you deliberately invite them and give them access. If you are working with an nChannel partner, they can view your account and data, but only if you provide access. You can add or remove partner, supplier or customer access to your account at any time.
Like most online services we have a small number of employees who must be able to access user data for reasons stated in our privacy policy (i.e. when legally required to do so). We have strict policy and technical access controls, however, that prohibit employee access except in these rare circumstances. In addition, we employ a number of physical and electronic security measures to protect user information from unauthorized access.
nChannel uses the latest encryption methods to both transfer and store data.
- Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and AES-256 bit encryption
- nChannel downloaded connectors and platform have been secured against hackers
- Account data is only viewable by those who have been provided access by you or your nChannel partner
nChannel performs regular “DOD INFOSEC” grade security and penetration testing scans on our platform using a variety of industry standard tools and techniques including Nessus, HP WebInspect and nCircle (among others). These tools scan against all platform interfaces including our API, Portal and data sync components.
