Kirill Tatarinov, President of the Microsoft Business Solutions division within Microsoft Corporation will kick-off the Microsoft Convergence 2013 Conference by opening the conference with an overview of whats happening today, tomorrow and the Dynamics World Ahead. This has been a big year for the Microsoft Dynamics business unit and there will be no shortage of sessions focusing on the recent releases within the Microsoft Dynamics line.
Microsoft Convergence 2013 is the place for partners along with their customers to look for innovative technology to extend existing systems and leverage current investments to support growth and get the most of your products. This year there are many new product announcements and session tracks to help optimize systems you already own.
Convergence 2013 is an interactive, networking conference. Sessions are organized into tracks that reflect the Microsoft Dynamics product line. Each track contains sessions that provide news and updates about Microsoft Dynamics products , in addition to tips and tricks provided by the experts and analysts to help reselling partners and customers better deploy, manage and integrate Microsoft Dynamics AX, RMS, GP, SL and NAV.
Dynamics GP Sessions
This year, in the Microsoft Dynamics GP track youll find a 50 minute session led by Mark Polino who will lead 50 Tips in 50 minutes for Microsoft Dynamics GP, including existing functionality and new features in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013. Mark write an excellent blog in which you can read about his great tips all year long.
One of the most interesting sessions for Microsoft Dynamics GP users will be Ask Your Peers: How Do You Have FUN While Upgrading Microsoft Dynamics GP? This interactive session is hosted by customers and should prove to be very informative as companies begin to plan for Microsoft Dynamics 2013 upgrades.
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 will be the biggest focus in the GP track and there are plenty of new features to learn about. Be sure to check out Pam Petersons session new features for distribution as well as a new session featuring Mario Gomez that will cover new SQL administration features in the new version of GP.
Dynamics SL Sessions
Microsoft Dynamics SL FP1 release will be highlight in the Microsoft Dynamics SL track. An overview of its new features are discussed in several concurrent sessions as will the new role tailored menus. Extreme Makeover! Microsoft Dynamics SL Edition will be led by SL customers that have taken SL above and beyond with add ons and features.
Dynamics NAV Sessions
For Microsoft Dynamics NAV users – youll find many sessions covering the new features in the 2013 version. A few new sessions added to this track this year are Tips and Tricks for Supply Planning and Ask your peers: Manufacturing Setups and Processing.
The concurrent sessions, deep dives and interactive discussions will cover capabilities of the latest product releases from easy deployment, new client opportunities, simple user experience, insightful business intelligence, enhanced features, and the value of upgrades.
Many new exhibitors join the Expo and Microsoft Solutions Experience area this year such as nChannel in booth 2552. nChannel will demo a centralized, cloud-based integration platform for Microsoft Dynamics GP, SL, NAV, Magento, Amazon and eBay to quickly and cost effectively deploy comprehensive, connected solutions to meet customers needs while building a high-margin revenue stream.
No Retail – Dynamics RMS
One of the biggest disappointments in the conference this year (and every year) is the lack of focus on retail operations. There are no tracks for Microsoft Dynamics RMS. Integrated retail operations affect every company. Those companies that sell products experience integration issues as they try to expand channels using brick and mortar stores or online selling channels. Just because company is not classified as a retailer doesnt mean that they dont have retail operations. Id like to see a bit more multi-channel sessions – or even a track on multi-channel. Wed be interested in your thoughts. Leave us a comment or note and well connect with you at Convergence.
See you in the Big Easy! #Conv13
